The chaos library functions a bit differently than the dream library that most of us are familiar with.  There is something important you -must- remember.  Since where you are reading this from is considered chaos related material, it needs to be treated as such within the dream.  If you make references to the chaos library in the dream, no one is going to know what you are talking about.  Everything related to the chaos from within the dream is completely unknown.  Only theories exist about what is really outside the very dream world we reside in.  So you kind of have to think with two sides of the brain here.  How do I present the chaos library in the dream if I'm trying to get someone to post a codex on the wiki?  All I can say is, very carefully or not at all.  It is possible to role play your theories about what maybe outside the dream in a non-direct way, such as (good luck with that) suggesting to the dreamer that something is there and if you somehow experience it as you are wakening, to seek it out; However, many may not approve of this method and unless you are extremely crafted in the role play department, I wouldn't touch it with a ten foot pole.  The problem arises as soon as you mention outside words like "Wiki" or for example this website's URL.  Once you have done that, you just broke [[The Three Rules of Underlight|The Third Rule]].  This is very much frowned upon.  So please take this into consideration.

Sometimes it is just best not to mention anything about the chaos, because you walk a fine line when you get into indirect references or descriptions.  If you are a teacher and part of a task you created for the student is to transcribe history to a codex, then just tell them to use the library in the dream, that's what it is there for.

  • Outside the Dream

Everything in your dreams you remember upon awakening back into the chaos. Dreamers need a place to go in the chaos for histories / biographies / guides. For that reason the wiki site was setup. If you have a codex that would help dreamers along, or just think that something relevant to Underlight needs to be posted, please create a new page and share it. If you are not familiar with the mediawiki syntax, do not worry, someone who does will come along and beef up your page and maybe even make corrections. Wiki page creation and help can be found at http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/MediaWiki_User's_Guide

And as always, please respect the rules of Underlight Wiki.

  • Within the Dream

It is possible to role play your theories about what maybe outside the dream in a non-direct way, such as suggesting to the dreamer that something is there and if you somehow experience it as you are wakening, to seek it out (good luck with that); However, many may not approve of this method and unless you are extremely crafted in the role play department, I wouldn't touch it with a ten foot pole. The problem arises as soon as you mention outside words like "Wiki" or for example this website's URL. Once you have done that, you just broke The Third Rule.
