Before you begin, choose a name, a gender, and a focus. All names are unique. Names are subject to the Three Laws of Underlight and should not offend other players. There are no penalties or bonuses for being male or female in the game.

Choose A Focus

Your focus determines the kinds of arts you can learn. When you begin, you must choose one focus from the four elements. Once chosen, you cannot change. There are 4 Foci:

Willpower

There is another element known as DreamSoul. DreamSoul cannot be a focus. DreamSoul protects the souls of all dreamers from harm.
