RavenXR and Starling Wedding
Starling and RavenXR have pledged their undying love to one another in a beautiful ceremony on the tenth day, Year of Insurgence
Renna and Elias began the ceremony by handing four dreamers...BurgandyRose, Braelynn, Selika, and Fernir...a candle of their focus. Speaking words for each one, Elias then pulled a dagger from his robes and raised it above Raven saying...
In thee may the lord of the forest come again.
Here the ancient call and show thyself to men.
Shepherd of wild things, upon the wild hills way.
Lead thy lost flock from darkness unto day.
Forgotten are the ways of sleep and night.
Men seek for them whose eyes have lost the light.
Open the door, the door that hath no key...
The door of dreams, where by men come unto thee.
Shepherd of wild things, may you be one with him be!
Renna turned to Starling, a chalice in her hands, and looked deep into her eyes speaking...
Thou shall be the star that rises from the sea, the twilight sea.
Thou shall bring a man dreams to rule his destiny.
Thou shall bring the moon-tides to the heart of a man.
The tides that flow and ebb and flow again.
The magick that moves in the moon and the sea.
Those are thy secret and they belong to thee.
Thou art the eternal woman, thou art She...
The tides of all mens hearts belong unto thee.
Lady of the moon and mystery, veiled one, woman of love borne from the sea...
All these thou art, and they are seen in thee.
Raven turned to Starling, and held out his blade to her, pledging his weapon to forever be at her service...
Gracious and lovely one, accept my pledge of love for thee.
I pledge my sword as I pledge my heart ever to be in your service.
Like this blade shall my love be strong.
Like this steel shall my love be enduring. Accept it, oh beloved one, for that which is mine shall also be yours.
Starling accepted his pledge with the words...
I accept your Pledge, my truest of heart.
My Lord, I accept your pledge of love, as I do accept the pledge of your blade.
Thou knowest what is in my heart, as I know what is in thine.
The magic of my will, and my love, shall forever be yours.
Starling in turn offered him a jewel of great value as a token of the love that they share. Unpinning the Crystalline Star, she placed it in his palm...
Thou who art handsome and strong, accept my jewel, my treasure, as a pledge that all
I am and all that I possess, shall be yours.
My love shall never endure, and shall flourish as the vine and the tree.
Accepting the jewel, Raven said...
My lady, I accept your pledge of love as I do accept the pledge of your Jewel.
Thou knowest what is in my heart, as I know what is in thine.
All which I have now, or shall have, shall ever be yours.
Turning back to face Renna and Elias, the couple dropped their rings into the chalice. Elias plunged the dagger into the chalice, sanctifying the rings. In turn, Renna and Elias spoke...
Above you are the stars, below you are the stones...
As time passes, remember...
Like a star should you love be constant.
Like the stone should your love be firm.
Posess one another, yet be understanding.
Have patience with each other.
For storms will come, and they will go quickly.
Be free in giving of affection and warmth.
Have no fear and let not the ways of words
Of the unenlightened give you unease.
For the Olde Ones are with you....
now and always!
The chalice was then passed back and forth between Starling and Raven, as they drank the contents, before handing it back to Renna.
Raven turned back to Starling to share his vow...
Starling, my love... For many dreams I wandered, lost. I knew not where my heart lie, or where my paths would bring me. How truly lucky I am, to have had my path, and heart lead me to you. We now begin a new path, together. Our heads held high, and hearts beating strongly. A path with its highs, a path surely with its lows...and the unknowns along the way. Together we shall remain strong; there is no doubt in that. Starling, I do avow to you my undying love on this day.
Gazing deep into Raven’s eyes, she shared her vow...
As I gaze lost into your eyes millions of memories flood my mind... However, those that stand out the brightest contain the sound of your laughter... filling my ears, bringing warmth to my thoughts. But above all this... what brings the everlasting joy to my dreams is knowing that these memories are merely the beginning of the countless more which we shall continue to share in creating together throughout our dreams. I do so vow my love to you, RavenXR, through the lightest and the darkest of dreams... Through the saddest and the most joyful of moments. I give you my admiration, true devotion, everlasting support, undying trust, and unconditional love as we begin our paths this dream as one.
The couple then placed one another’s ring upon the other. Holding on tight, they each spoke the words...
In the name of the Olde Ones, I pledge thee my troth, to love and to cherish thee through all our dreams. For even if later should our paths diverge, yet will I always be thy true friend, to love thee and to lend thee aid and protection by the power of the starry mills of the skies. Beyond the imaginable reaches of time and Knowledge!
Elias and Renna each took an end to a small chain, and tied it around the wrists of the newly weds. They spoke...
As your hands are bound together this day is a symbol - let it be a symbol you carry close from this day on
Then as the Olde Ones are witness to this rite...
We now pronounce you man and wife!
Thus are thy hands fasted...
The two are one...
The work of joy is done...
And yet begun!
Before each candle was blown out...
