I welcome you all to this performance of The Battle of Rock Falls. Once the lights are dimmed, I will ask all on their honor not to speak, and to only keep emotes to one word, i.e. claps, laughs, cries, and so forth. Any who are taken by storms and wish to return, please do so, but quietly. I ask that Lyrans present to please whisper warnings to those who they believe are a disruption. Once again, I thank you all for coming.

Before you sit the Rulers of Dreamer of Light in conference. Ruler Trevin Cordare has just informed Ruler Saliina of a plan he and Ruler Mish have implemented without her knowledge. The two men also report to Saliina the progress being made on the Orb of Calenture. Ruler Elisa is also present.

Saliina

Slams her and down on the table in anger, directed at Trevin.
What do you mean? How dare they make such an attempt? I will not allow it, Trevin. I will not!

Elisa

Smiles across the table at Trevin. She always enjoys watching her fellow rulers bicker.

Saliina

Looks angrily at Trevin and takes her seat.

Trevin Cordare

Shall we wait for Acton, or shall we continue?

Elisa

Evokes Locate Dreamer in search of Acton.
Acton is blanked now. Figures.

Saliina

We will go on without him then.

Jevik Bane (v.o.)

As the lights dim and rise again, we now find ourselves at Rock Falls where Rulers Fictor and Lani of House Calenture are gathered with over 500 of their initiates. Fictor and Lani stand atop a rise overlooking their troops. They talk in whispers to each other as they wait for more of their house to arrive.

Whispering to Fictor

The Orb is safe. Master Zordon told me of this just as I arrived.

Whispering to Lani

Good, very good. Where is that old Bog anyway? He was supposed to be here.

Approaches Fictor and Lani and bows.

Forgive me Rulers for interrupting. I have the news you wanted.

Fictor

Then come out with it Initiate. We do not have all day.

Paldrous

Very nervous.

The Rulers of Light gather their troops now.

lani

Smiles with anticipation.

Fictor

Very good Initiate. You have done well. Gather with the rest and prepare.

Jevik Bane (v.o.)

Far from Rock Falls, Acton the Salyer, Ruler of Dreamers of Light, stalks an AgoKnight. His eyes are bright with joy at the prospect of freeing yet another soul. He prepares himself for battle, evoking his blade. He enters the portal. An AgoKnight coalesces before him. Acton smiles and engages in battle against the vile mare. Just as he collapses the amre and bends over to retrieve the essence, he feels the presence of others entering through the portal.

Turning towards the portal, his blade at the ready. He sees initiates of Calenture entering, being lead by Marisa Topin, a Guardian of Calenture. The initiates spread out, encircling the Ruler of Light. Acton smiles.
I am honored Topin to have such a gathering. I am only sorry they could not see me defeat the mare.

Frowns

You took the mare? This is our hunting ground!

Jevik Bane (v.O.)

The initiates look around nervously at each other. They have the highest regard for their Guardian, but they also know Ruler Acton is the greatest Blade Master in the City.

Smiling

Of course I took the mare. Did you really think I would just walk by and not save the poor soul?

marisa topin

Glances at her initiates. She knows the example she must set. She quietly prepares herself as she addresses Acton.
Acton, Rulers of Dreamers of Light. We were hunting these grounds first. I demand you give to me the essence of the mare just slain.

acton

Laughs, and evokes another blade.

Really? You demand? And if I say no to your demand, which I do, what will you do?

Knowing that he would say no, she nodded her head. He can not be allowed to learn of her true reason for being in the area.
Then, Acton. I will take it from you.

acton

Smiles as he looks at the Calenture initiates around him.

Well, judging by your numbers, you may have a change. But, I do suggest you gather a few more first.

No, Acton. I said -I- would take it.

marisa topin

Nods to one of her initiates who turns quickly towards the portal and wards it.

Acton

Laughs when he sees the young initiate ward the portal, truly thinking there will be 10 fewer Freesouls to deal with in the near future.
As you wish Topin. Let us begin. I have more souls to save before I awake.

marisa topin

Glides forward, her Gatesmasher weaving a trail of death before her, thrusting, slashing.

acton

Meets each attack with grace and admiration. This Topin woman has a future with the blade, he thinks. He turns his defense into a pressing attack. He sense she is ready to collapse.

marisa topin

Feels her Dreamsoul rapidly diminish. She knows her collapse is imminent.

acton

Just as he is about to land the collapsing blow, he feels the stinging, painful shock of a chakram launched against his back. Turning to face his new attacker, his own dreamsoul flooding out of him, he feels Topin’s blade enter his back. Acton collapses into a Soulsphere.

Frowning at the soulsphere of Acton. She looks past the soulsphere to Initiate Berus. She is very angry.
What in the rift did you do? How dare you bring such dishonor to our House!

Initiate Berus

Looking confused

But, but, Guardian. You were about to be collapsed.

marisa topin

Glaring at Berus

Then I would have been collapsed. You heard what I said to Acton. Berus, what you did showed no honor! You will redeem yourself for this. Now, get yourself out of my presence before I collapse you myself!

Passes a Ward Amulet to Berus and points towards the warded portal.

Looks at the soulsphere of Acton.

Ruler Acton. I know you possess the art of Dreamstrike. I only ask that you not Dreamstrike the young Berus for his actions. If you feel the dishonor is great, then I stand ready to face Dreamstrike myself in his place.

Really wishes a soulsphere could smile as he addresses Marisa.
Guardian Marisa Topin. I will not use Dreamstrike against you or he. We both know what he did brought him only dishonor and was witnessed by other of his House. I am sure he will find that to be enough punishment.

Furthermore Guardian of Calenture, I know of your honor and would be happy to continue this duel at another time.

As would I Ruler of Light. I will seek you out at a later time. For now, I must get these initiates home.

Turns towards the initiates and passes a ward amulet to each.
We will meet again Ruler and continue this. Next time, on my honor, no others will interfere.

Before turning to exit the portal, Marisa evokes restore on the soulsphere of Acton. She exits.

===Act 2===

JEVIK BANE (V.O.)

As act 2 begins, we find ourselves back at rock falls where rulers factor the Banisher and Lani the Sly prepare the initiates of House Calenture. They await the rest of the Calenture troops. Defensive arts can be being evoked, and silent whispers carry on the breeze. Rulers Nomegene the Just and Dranus the Wise, both of House Calenture, arrive. With them are Guardians Simpka Dra, Marissa Toppin, and 500 more initiates.

Turning to bark orders to the 500 hundred initiates behind her.

Initiates! Fall out and form up with the others. You know the routine. Now, move it!

Flamboyantly dressed in a flowing cape of Jade, bows smiling to all the of his Rulers, his eyes linger on Ruler Lani and slowly rise up to meet her gaze.
Greetings noble Rulers. As you command, we stand ready to crush those who are blinded by the Light.

Winks at Ruler Lane. He leans forward and kisses her.

Smiles at Simpkin, her husband, and remind herself to tell him later that such affections in front of the initiates are not proper. It will be fun reminding him of this, in her own special way.

Approaches the Rulers and bows.

Greetings my Rulers. We do stand ready as Guardian Dra reports. But, I must also report that I had a run-in with Ruler Acton on my way here.

Looks at Marisa, a questioning look on his face.

Nomegen

Looks angry at what Marisa said.

Quick, tell us what happened, Guardian.

Addresses Ruler Nomegen.

The forward scout and I came across Acton just as he took an AgoKight. I told the Ruler of Light that he intruded on our hunting ground and demanded he turn over to me the essence of the mare. I then issued a challenge of a duel to him for possession of the essence. He accepted.

Dranus

Smiles, and chuckles, interrupting Marisa.

Marisa. You challenged Acton? I know how well you handle a blade, but Acton? I am truly impressed!

Smiles slightly to her friend and Ruler, Dranus.

Aye, I challenged him. But, I regret to say our duel was interrupted.

marisa topin

Pauses a beat before continuing.

I was about to be collapsed when Initiate Berus took it upon himself to unleash a few chak blasts into the back of Acton. As Acton turned to face Berus, and I continued to press my attack, I had no time to halt my thrust, driving my blade deeply into Acton as he turned. He was collapsed.

She becomes very angry at the words she hears Marisa speaking. She begin to evoke Blast.

Falls to his knees in pain, his dreamsoul dropping fast, as he feels the art of Blast wrack his avatar.

Whispering to Berus.

You were lucky. I meant to collapse you. Now you will remember not to dishonor this house again.

Begins to continue her report when she is interrupted by an excited murmur coming from the gathered forces.

Enters Rock Falls as a soulsphere, floating straight towards his rulers.

Rulers! The Light! They Come!

The army of Light approach Rock Falls, 600 hundred strong. Leading are Rulers Saliina the Light, Trevin Cordare, Elisa the Grace, and Acton the Slayer. As their commanders; Guardians Jevik Tomand, Regina Sol, Epson Xanu, Lilly Somertic, and Iman Jatel. All are prepared for battle. They make camp two leagues from Rock Falls. As the initiates of Dreamers of Light make camp, the Rulers and Guardians meet.

Smiling at Jevik Tormand, his best friend.

Jev, just where in the rift is Ruler Mish? Of all the Light, you think he would be here. We all know how much he loves a good fight.

jevik tormand

Shrugs.

Who can tell, my friend. Ruler Mish is Ruler Mish. I am sure he will be here. I have known him a long time, and never once has he missed not being on the front lines.

acton

Approaches Iman and Jevik. He is smiling, anticipating once and for all the end of all banishment.
Ah Jev, Iman! ‘tis great to see you two. How fares the dream?

Bows to Ruler Acton.

It fares great, Ruler.

Bows to Ruler Acton.

Aye Ruler. A great dream for a fight.

Smiling

Excellent! But let us hurry and get this meeting over with sot that we can soon put an end to banishment.

Leads Jevik and Iman to the rest of the Rulers and Guardian who have already gathered for their meeting.

Smiles gracefully at the three men approaching.

Well gee guy, hope we aren’t keeping you from anything important. We only go to war, but if you Acton, Jevik, and Iman, have more important things to do, I am sure we will be fine without you.

elisa

Holds back her laughter when she sees Jevik and Iman blush in embarrassment and begin to bow their apologies.

acton

Smiles sweetly at Elisa, dropping to one knee before her and spreading his arms wide.
Oh please, Ruler Elisa, please forgive us. We only slowed our approach in fear that your stunning beauty would sear our minds. We had to prepare!

elisa

Thwacks Acton on top of his head, covering her blush with the action.

Laughs

trevin cordare

Stands watching Acton’s performance, hiding a smile behind his hand. He also notices Saliin’a anger beginning to rise.

Glares at all assembled for the meeting. She loves her friends dearly, but at times they do play around too much.
If we can get started. We do have things to discuss.

saliina

Nods to Trevin, giving him the floor.

trevin cordare

I know you all have been wondering where Mish has been. Well, he has been the one responsible for the information we are getting out of Calenture.

saliina

Looks angrily at Trevin, still mad at him for not telling her of this and Mish’s plan.

trevin cordare

Mish hs been undercover , working against Calenture. Only he and I knew of this. If it were not for his information, we would not know of Zordon’s work on the Orb.

elisa

Listening closely.

jevik tormand

Nods with approval, understand how valuable such information can be.

trevin cordare

And speak of undercover, Lasiter escaped us before Saliin could evoke Dreamstrike on the spy.

===Act 3===

jevik bane (V.O.)

We are back once again at Rock Falls, but this time, we are amongst the Initiates of House Calenture as they prepare for battle. Perin, a young initiate, goes to comfort his friend, Berus. Perin evokes Restore on his friend for the punished dished out by Ruler Lani.

perin

Patting Berus’s shoulder.

Damn, she is a wicked one, isn’t she?

berus

Looks up at his friend.

That she is. But, I deserved it. What I did to Acton was wrong. I know that, but I just couldn’t stand there and see Marisa get collapsed.

perin

Nodded his head. He understood.

I heard what happened. Why don’t you tell me about it yourself.

perin

Listens to his friend tell his side of the story. He smiles, thinking Acton let Berus off easy.
Well, you have more courage than I. Acton is one I never want to face in battle. The we he spins that blade of his! Just gives me the chills thinking about it.

berus

Smiles slighting, encouraged by his friend’s words.

Perin. We may not have known each other long, but I am glad you left your Free Spirit life and joined us.

Perin

Smiles. Yes, that was a good route to take.

Berus, before this day ends, I am sure...

perin

Is interrupted by the blast of horns signaling that the enemy approaches. He smiles, marking the time in his thoughts...just on time.

===Act 4===

jevik bane(v.O.)

As the final act opens, Dreamers of Light and House Calenture are about to battle. They battle over the fate of the essences stored within their prime artifacts. Should those essences be Imprisoned, or should they be Banished.
Rock Falls is awash in anticipation as the two opposing forces stand ready. Warriors of House Dreamers of Light flood through the portal as the horns of Calenture announce the defense. Nicklous, baring the Standard of Light, is the first to come from the portal, followed closely by Ruler Acton the Slayer. The rest of the Dreamers of Light’s army pour in after them. nicklous

Shouts

For the Light! For the souls!

Nicklous

Is hit by multiple chaks and offensive arts. He screams in agony as he his collapsed. The Standard of Light falling to the ground.

acton

Seeing young Nicklous fall, and the Standard of Light falling with him, Acton shakes off the effects of chaks blasts and catches the Standard of Light before it reaches the ground. He then immediately passes the Standard to Shareen, the new Standard Barer.

Accepts the standard proudly in her right hand, switching the Blinding chakram to her left.

Shouting orders. Hornsman! Perimeter!

Puts the horn to his lips and blows one long wail, and one short blast, signally the Light to form a defensive perimeter to the east of Calenture’s forces.

Finding his way to Saliina, breathing heavy.

Saliina. We have taken ground. Acton leads a contigent routing the enemy for the rocks. Elisa is restoring those she can get to.

saliina

Wiping sweat, dirt, and dreamsoul from her brow with the back of her arm.

Excellent Trevin. Break your party and join to me. I have Mish joined.

trevin cordare

Whispers further instructions to those dreamers joined in his group then break the connection. He then joins group with Saliina and Mish.

Listening to whispers from Mish.

Listens to whispers from Mish.

jevik bane(v.o)

We direct our eyes to the camp of House Calenture. Rulers Fictor and Nomegen are hunched over a map of Rock Falls while Ruler Dranus goes about restoring those who were collapsed. Ruler Lani walks among the troops, encouraging, cajoling, and yelling. All four Rulers are joined in party.

Slams his fist down atop the map where small white stones are placed indicating the ground the Light has taken.
How in the rift did they get dug in so quick! Damn Lasiter for getting caught by them!

nomegen

Takes her eyes from the map, looking up at Fictor.

Because they were prepared. You now as well as I, we do not battle an ignorant foe. Now, we must think of a way un-trench them.

fictor

Nods, frowning.

lani

Whispering to Fictor and Nomegen through their shared party.

Dra just reported the Light are forming another attack. Our lines will hold.

fictor

Inscribes a codex and hands it to a runner, initiate Berus.

Initiate Berus. Deliver this to Guardian Dra on the front lines, at once.

berus

Bows and quickly departs.

perin

Sees Berus rush from the camp and catches up to him.

Berus! Hold up!

berus

Continues running, but allow his friend to catch up to him.

Can’t stop. Need to get a message to Dra.

Perin

Thinks, message?

I’ll go with you. Cover you back. What is the message?

berus

Don’t know. It’s on this codex I carry.

perin

Looks around as he runs along side Berus. He notices no one watching. He yells.

Down Berus! Incoming!

Perin

Tackles Berus, knocking him to the ground and knocking him unconscious. He takes the codex Berus carried.

lani

Initiate! What goes on here?

Lani

Sounding angry, and looking at Perin.

perin

Rises slowly from the ground, from atop Berus, and hides the codex behind his back. He prepares Blast, ready to unleash the deadly art if needed.
An attack, Ruler. I tried to save Berus.

lani

I saw no attack, Initiate. I saw you take down a courier. Why?

Lani

Prepares her favorite art, Blast. Her eyes widen in surprise as she sees Perin evoking an art, then she feels the effets of Blast wrak her body. She battles Perin.

perin

Dodges and continues to fight.

lani

Feels her dreamsoul rapidly flow out of her.

berus

Moans as he rises from the ground. Seeing the battle between his Ruler and his friend, he is confused. Sensing that Ruler Lani is about to be collapsed, he unleashes his chak into Perin.

Perin

Collapses as Lani’s blast and Berus chak drain his dreamsoul.

lani

Evokes Restore on herself, replenishing her dreamsoul. She looks at the floating soulsphere of Perin, and then at Berus.
You have down well, Initiate Berus.

lani

Addressing Perin. She is angry.

Just who in the rift do you thin you are Initate Perin?

perin

Seeing no escape, whispers to his friends through their shared group.
I am lost my friends. Go with the Light.

perin

Speaking out loud to Lani.

Now Lani dear, it’s too late for Calenture to change their plands. You ought to give young Berus here an accommodation for collapsing a Ruler of Light.

Lani

Concentrates and forms her most deadly art.

Mish!

Lani

Smiles.

Then, this will truly be a pleasure.

Lani

Evokes Dreamstrike on the soulsphere of Mish the Bold, Ruler of Dreamers of Light.

The battle of wages full once agin. Both houses are engaged to the last. With the first true death from Dreamstrike already loosed, those few who posses this most deadly art begin using it against their enemies without regard for their own dreamsoul. Very few soulsphere remain long enough to be restored. Each Ruler of Light leads a group of fighters against Calenture. Both houses fight valiantly.

Absolute carnage covers the field of battle. Guardian Epson Xanu, Lilly Somertic, and Jevik Tormand of Dreamers of Light exist no longer due to Dreamstrike. Guardians Marisa Topin and Simpka Dra of House Calenture have both also suffered the same fate. Saliina the Light stands surrounded by forces of Calenture. She is facing Ruler Fictor the Bold, and Lani the Sly. Ruler Trevin Cordare of the Light struggles against his captors to reach Saliina. Elisa The Grace desperately tries to restore all she can before Dreamstrike is unleashed upon them. Acton the Slayer is missing in action.

Staning weaponless, and unable to evok due to her have no more elems to replenish with, smiles at her camptors.
So Fictor, do you feel victorious? I am sure this is a day you have waited on for a long time. To see me stand before you like this.

lani

Glares at Saliina, ready to unleash Dreamstrike one more time.

fictor

Looks at Saliina, the head Ruler of Light.

Saliina, yes I have looke forward to the day when we could put an end to your foolish attempts at Imprisoning the mares. Now, announce for all to hear of your surrender and we will allow your remaining initiates to live.

saliina

Laughs in Fictor’s face, feeling her Lucidity begin to rise, just need enough for one more Fire Storm.
Never will I or any of my house surrender. We have taken an oath to stand opposed to those who Banish the mare, for the freeing of the soul of the unawakened comes before all else. Know this Calenture. We will always oppose you and your attempts to condemn the souls of the unawakened dreamer to eternal torment. We are House Dreamers of Light!

saliina

Using her remaining strength and the last of her lucidity, evokes Fire Storm and shouts.
For the Light!

Saliina

She is attacked from all sides and collapses. Her beliefs engraved upon her heart, melded to her very soul. She is content.

lani

Evokes Dreamstrike on the soulsphere of Saliina the Light and feels satisfaction when the Ruler of Light is truly slain.

trevin cordare

Hearing Saliina’s last words shouted to all, and seeing her dreamstruck from his position across Rock Falls, feels his eyes fill with tears. They are not tears of sorrow, but tears of pride. He turns to the Hornsman at this side.

Sound the retreat.

trevin cordare

With a last thought of Saliina the Light, he gathers the remaining forces of Light and leaves Rock Falls. He quietly speaks to the air.
We will remember your words and your sacrifice, my friend.
