The pathways to the dreaming soon eroded because the trampling of many eager feet, and many dreamers who once found ease finding the Dream State were now held behind. At this time miserable weather on [[Cloudsbreak]] coupled with disease to bring starvation to many. Those suffering misfortune in their waking were obscured from the luxury of the Dream City. A great melancholy swept the dream at the time of the Winnowing; a time when many of the first dreamers after the great loss ceased their dreaming. Gone, but never forgotten, their efforts to help rebuild the City will always be remembered in the hearts and minds of those who carried on.
