Upon entering the city a dreamer finds himself/herself in the Courtyard of Awakening where s/he can decide which open threshold to enter. Currently, all thresholds are open though not all houses are active. Within Threshold there are eight rooms (corresponding with the eight houses) organized in a circle and connected by halls. Within each house's threshold there is a portal to the corresponding house's plane, direct access to within the house itself (only accessible by members of that house), and a hall on each side. Most hallways will afford you access either to the Library of Dreams, Threshold Pits, Market Place (which is part of The Inchoate Realm) or the Threshold's Provenance. The entirety of Threshold is a sanctuary.
