The History of Phyraxia

This is the story of Phyraxia, and her husband Larnis, and how deafen saved her from a fate worse then death.... Phyraxia was given a mixed blessing at birth, by the Eldest of the DreamWrights. She was to live a happy dream, never wanting, or feeling pain, UNLESS... She learned her father’s name. Now Naturally, no one in the dream, knew of her father, so it was generally looked upon as a blessing. However, the Elder warned her, if she ever did find out, all the cumulative store of pain and sorrow, would effect her immediately.

Never thinking of it after a few years, she went on happily, never suspecting anything, (part of the blessing you see) until one day, she met a strange newly awakened, who seemed to know much more then he revealed. He called himself The Sharer of Secrets. This Sharer, and Phyraxia, grew quite close, and he showed her many wonders in the Dream that she had never known existed. Now as you have by now realized, The Sharer was just building her trust... the Sharer constantly fueled her curiosity about her father... He would mention his own, the deeds of another, all great... and the love that is shared ‘tween a father and daughter...

After a bit, Larnis, who had observed all of this, grew suspicious, and started to surreptitiously to follow them about... and as it turns out ..... He was able to save his wife, from fate worse then being dreamstruck, through the judicious use of the art of deafen. Just as her curiosity grew insatiable, and the Sharer made his final move, Larnis deafened his wife and used a chakram on the Sharer Larnis. He then, dreamstruck the Sharer, unleashing the pain that that brings with it. However that pain was lulled by the knowledge that his wife would remain happy with him forever more.
