Thunberg's Dream

Our Interviwer was startled to find Thunberg stop in the Library of souls to compliment her on this history. Calysto blushes and thanks the peculiar but warm-hearted dreamer, knowing that he dislikes having others show standard gestures of respect to him, and dislikes even more being called a Lyran. Thunberg asks her if she wishes to hear his story. She and TyRyT both respond with enthusiasm, and our Interviewer scrambles for her notepad.

Thunberg thinks back, seeing the past from new eyes

"In Cloudsbreak I, Thunberg, was known as a 'sage', 'scholar'. There dreaming was not a right but a privilege. Only those completing a strict course of discipline under the three Master Dreamers were shown the mysteries of dreaming."

"I was selected to enter this path. The course of these studies was long and strenuous Mind, body and spirit were tasked to extreme limits; building awareness and increasing their powers. Although I had never been guided to the Dream the teachings had given me great knowledge of it. I eagerly awaited my awakening and had neared the end of my tenure under the Masters.

"It was then the chaos wave hit, all the Dreamers in my part of Cloudsbreak were lost; leaving me; prepared for the initiation to dreaming but now with no guides. I proceeded to work on a path to awakening alone; dabbling in ways to achieve other consciousness, experimenting with form changes, applying the knowledge of the arts to Cloudsbreak and evolving the mental discipline to understand how to use them, including exploring the mysteries of alchemy and the occult."

Thunberg looks at each here.

"I, Thunberg, now dream. I entered the dream expecting to be like any other. It did not take long to find I was the least prepared."

Do you apply alchemy and the occult in the dream too? Or is it the means by which you achieved the dream?

"It is the means I used. In time perhaps I can apply those lessons to changing what is gifted to me and you."
