The History of Hvral (aka Hvral the Honest)

Hvral the Honest was just that, and was constantly tried for it. A Dreamer of middle age, he professed nothing less than complete honesty as the solution for all the problems of the Dream. An interesting tale abounds about him, though it's veracity is rather doubtful. Hvral came up to his wife one day, and asked if she loved him more than anything.

She replied in the affirmative, and he buried his abyss shield. A few months later, he asked again, with the same answer, and he buried his vast store of alterors. A final time he asked her, now many months pregnant with their child, and she replied again with a yes. This time, as he was about to bury his blade, he asked again to make certain, and she replied yet again, affirming her love.

He then took it upon himself to ask her one more time, tears in his eyes, and his wife, wondering what was going on gave the most enthused approval yet. Head hung low; he left her that evening. When later questioned about why he had given up that happiness, he replied "I could never stay under the same roof with a dishonest woman, when I asked her if she loved me more than anything, she lied to me thrice, for she loved our unborn child equally."
