Khyme Nef Mahn
The History of Khyme Nef Mahn
A self styled practical jokester with more than a few quirks, Khym was also something of a sneak, and a thief. The curious thing about this individual, as far as can be told, is that he only stole the most useless items. Not a day went by when one did not see Khym wandering Threshold, stealthily creeping about in the most awkward fashion, reaching into anthers pouch, smiling gleefully and making off with a Chalk shield. Even though his perception of value was a bit distorted, it was acknowledged that he was exceedingly good at his "trade", but was tolerated due to the relatively harmless nature of his thefts.
Thus it would have remained had not S'van the Trickster spoke with him. S'van had noticed the skills of Khym, far exceeding any claim he might have to the trade, and decided to "guide" him. After a short discussion with Khym, S'van had convinced him that the Orb of Calenture was the most worthless item in the Dream, one which no Dreamer would ever value. Naturally, Khym was filled with an irrepressible urge to find this item, and searched day upon day for it, being seen on Calenture's Facade for hours at a time. One day, he saw his chance, as the Orb was brought out for it's monthly Exposure (something now abandoned) to the Initiates of the House. Wildly, Khym knocked the Orb out of the Ruler's hands, and made off with it giggling evilly. The Orb was eventually returned when a kindly Dreamer told Khym that it was indeed valuable, but the chase was quite difficult, as Khym's name would cause random storms. A grateful Calenture forgave Khym, and granted him the Amulet of Tricksters (a high charge short duration chamele talisman), the only known valuable item that Khym ever kept.
