Art History

The Dreamers had been called back to the New Dream to aid in rebuilding. Blagi Klyar was gladly helping the returned one get their dream legs back. Such an eager and promising group they were. He was an elderly man; a crazy mop of white hair gives way to blue eyes, friendly smile and a long white beard. White robes appear baggy on a thin frame that appears almost emaciated, though it supports immaculate posture. His hands are gnarled and knotted and he rubs them constantly as if he were in pain.

Leather sandals are upon his feet. A small chisel, which he touches frequently, hangs around his neck. He smells strongly of freshly cut timber. Working away one dream in his workshop he was contemplating the uses of push and how could he gain the attention of so many as the gathered around him. Several pieces of wood fell at once and all turned upside down. And it came to him he would create a mass push art that would draw the attention away from their main focus or fail to capture their attention.

They would be so surprised they would be ready to hear him out. So he fiddled with the Dreamsoul and how it perceived the dreamers making it effect more than one. He chuckled to himself at their surprise when he got it to work. Within a week of their return he had a gift for them. One he was sure would cause a ruckus. The first ones he trained in this art were Thunderman and Star Scream. Tests run on Umbrics Threshway on the dreamers gathered there.

The History that Might Have Been (Fictional)

Rylar was a fatesender, well known for his... interest... in the fairer sex, and his ability to charm his way into their skirts. He was so well renowned for this “trait”, that he was permanently on the locate of Every dreamer with adopted Daughters, or that were married... or really, anyone that was even remotely protective of a young woman. Consequently, he spent a LOT of time having to run and had to make a lot of frantic dives through portals/windows/etc.. Despite he focus on more... personal... exploits, he was able to advance himself quite high in spheres. Though, the constant need to have escape routes and make frantic dashes began to wear on him. Several times, he was only able to escape collapse (and on two occasions, Dreamstriking) due only to the distraction provided by one lovely young lady or another. One evening, after a particularly nasty escape from the Illapse Stronghold (Diving out a window to avoid a small army of angry warriors is a lot less fun than it might seem when that dive means a subsequent fall down a cliff face), Rylar had a brilliant idea... that was perhaps inspired partly hitting his head repeatedly on the way down the mountain. Putting aside, for a change, his intense focus on what lay under the various young ladies clothing and focusing instead on creation of an art... Rylar spent a whole two weeks working frantically on his new art. Regrettably, he was so rushed to get his art working that he never did polish its workings, relying instead on the raw power he could channel into it. As soon as he had a working art, tested on various Datoken that he ran across, he went back to his normal activities. A Princess of the Order was Rylar’s next chosen conquest, and given his relative quiet over the last couple of weeks, guards were perhaps a bit lower than they might otherwise have been. The princess was a fun (and more than willing) conquest, in fact... one time being conquered wasn’t enough for her, but she expressed her worry about her father and his guards finding Rylar with her. So, Rylar was only too happy to show off how clever and cunning he was, and demonstrated his new art for the young Princess and proudly explaining how it worked before taking advantage of her willing nature once again. Before Rylar could complete his second conquest of the Princess, the portal to the Princess’s room spun loudly as her father and several of the Orders warriors entered with their chakrams and blades drawn. Rylar, knowing he could get away thanks to his new art, made several mocking comments from beside the Princess before he evoked his new art and dashed towards the Princesses window, spinning to toss a roguish wink at the Princess only to witness her complete the 2nd ever evoke of the art, forcing Rylar to spin abruptly and run face first into a pillar. Before he could even start to focus his eyes again, the Princesses father and his warriors had fallen on Rylar’s prone form, relieving him of his coherence and driving a dagger into his Soulsphere. Banishing Rylar the lech to the dark depths of the palisades and leaving him to be the Conquest instead of the conqueror. The Princess made sure then that knowledge of the art was spread far and wide, though left Rylar’s involvement out, condemning his name lost to the annals of history. ~Written by Arnaya
