A Small Thread of Vloshitar

It was a while ago... before the loss... in the early experiments of the Geomancer Gatekeeper, V'loshitar, the one who sent the three pretenders as his last act... but here...

He was still a fairly vigorous and young fifth sphere gatekeeper, still learning the ropes of not only being a teacher, but a dreamsmith as well. Most here have not heard of V'loshtiar... many are too young. V'loshitar however tried a bit of an experiment... trying to be an eager dreamsmith novice, and went to try to make on his own a prime artifact. Many would say... a single gatekeeper... alone, making a prime? Some would claim he was doomed to fail.

And... perhaps he was... all I found were a few of his early notes on the first step... making a silver codex to be the container, or the final artifact... I know not.

I don't know what happened at the end of his experiments, but ended up being a most accomplished gatekeeper, some called him a gatekeeper wizard, casting the three pretenders adrift... At the cost of his remaining dreams.

From what I found he was first to hold a lost title... Geomancer.

A mystic of earth.

From his experiments... I tried to recreate what he did, many still lost to this day. I did manage to succeed in recreating his first step... The silver codex some of you saw me with...

Unfortunately... I've been a rather cranky gatekeeper as of late... meeting up with Tehthu and FIVE other Dark mares would do that to you. Also to the fact that I was tagged twice by he and his cronies. Don't believe what you hear... sixth sphere collapses HURT.

That... and en exchange of words between me and tux, him leaving in a huff, and me getting bent out of shape... I crushed the codex...

A mistake... which landed me into the wall of the fifth sphere hall, leaving a nice crack in it. The codex... exploded... and this is all that is left of it.

However... from what I have found... this experiment's intended result may have failed...

But the experiment itself... found something more... wondrous.

This... is no mere... grain of sand... but the start of a new project that may consume the rest of my dreams... and something... that I will likely never finish.

It is the first grain of sand, to what may become, a new plane in the dream. A first... accidental brush... with planesmithing.

Now... I don't intend to do this alone.

It's painful enough with others... suicidal to one's dreams singly... at least to one's mind...

But... I hope to find out more of V'loshitar's teachings... even though the tome is gone... I hope for that... and to bring the mysticism of the Geomancer back into the dream.

There is more to tell of him... but that is enough for one eve.
