A long time ago, the Great DreamSmith Brinthax Chorit was studying the work of his old friend, Balthus the elder DreamSmith. During his research he came upon an old unfinished scroll with the basics and ideas for the art of FlameRuin. He saw how Balthus had been so focused on getting revenge on the Dreamers who had laughed at him, that he missed the greater potential for a much more powerful Art. For months on end, Brinthax worked day and night in his study to finish an art that would damage all present dreamers that weren’t joined with him. He had in the process burned his own face in horrible scars, and killed his pet tiger, but this didn’t stop his research. Finally one day he had created a new Art that would work as he had hoped for. Almost insane by the creation of such a powerful dream-weapon he took his apprentice, a young FateSender named Wolrik, on a hunt for mares he could collapse with his new Art. He got more than he had hoped for however, as he fell into a pit with 5 Horrons. He evoked his new Art for the first time in desperate action. Wolrik watched as the Horrons screamed in pain before they finally shredded and collapsed his master. That was the last time Wolrik saw Brinthax. From what he had seen as the battle raged, Wolrik was able himself to learn and then Teach FireStorm to other Dreamers worthy of it.

Art History
