Charter

The Servants of the Eternal Dream: A Theosophical Society

The Aetherbound and the stewards of the Dreamscape have been joined together. In this, we have followed the tenet of doing what must be done to preserve the Dreamscape and its realities.

Through our charter, we rise as The Servants of the Eternal Dream: a theosophical society.

The eight pillars have been called. Let our exploration of the mysteries and dedication to the Dreamscape be unwavering.

  • Life
  • Death
  • Earth
  • Air
  • Fire
  • Water
  • Essence
  • Spirit

On Spirituality, Practice, and Reverence

The Servants of the Eternal Dream have been touched and inspired by concepts that dance at the edge of our understanding. We care not if one starts simply. We care about our journey in communion with the Dreamscape. This incredible journey teaches us. This is but one example of where we gain our strength.

We acknowledge that there are beings and forces shaped by the Elements and birthed by the Dreamscape itself. Great understanding is to be had when the Awakened humbles themselves and seek to dream in accordance with the wild world.

The Pillars guide our hands, our hearts, and our minds. They give us the strength and guidance to seek out and experience the incredible. They inspire us to explore the psychodrama that gives rise to and sustains the mysterious. We do not turn away from what we do not understand; we actively seek it out. Where we are weak, the pillars shall reinforce. In time, may we be lucky enough to understand the great cycle of events that have brought so many dreams to collide, forever changing what we know of the dream state.

The Pillars provide the standards and practices that give our work purpose. They unite us as individuals enriched by our diversity, not driven apart by it.

We cultivate, protect, and teach all manner of secrets to those who are worthy. We archive our experiences, both good and bad, so that the worthy who come after us may also learn. Through both sacred and ordinary words, our rites and research are fueled. One may be exploring spirituality and mystery for the first time, or they may be a seasoned practitioner. We welcome their voices as equals. Potential and Intent; we're but vessels of potential. Together, all may find their voice.

Motes of the Esoteric

  • Souls: The soul is a mystical component of the cosmos and ourselves, a profound and sacred mystery we seek to master and understand. Though we do not know all there is to know about this transcendent fragment and its connection to the self, we revere its sacredness and strive for a deeper comprehension of its essence. To some, it may appear as mere motes of energy, but it is a profound spiritual journey to those who seek it.
  • Recurring Nightmares: We know them (by many names), face them, and hone our skills through confrontation should we choose.
  • Essence: Essence is energy. We sacrifice energy in many ways, using it for the individual and the collective. The essence is a bounty given to us from the Dreamscape. It is sacred and works with its power, so it should not be taken lightly or used frivolously.
  • Dreadspawn: The Dreadspawn hail from a kingdom of pain and darkness within Thornhaven, ruled by a cruel tyrant wielding dark demonic power.

Allegedly. Are these tales merely told to scare children? We do not seek to provoke the Dreadspawn kingdom; however, we will master the fear it generates, refusing to let this realm of terror destroy our minds.

House Goals for the Servants of the Eternal Dream

As dedicated members of the Servants of the Eternal Dream, we have ambitious goals that align with our core beliefs.

Uncovering Thornhaven

We seek to uncover the hidden layers of Thornhaven, investigating its ancient roots and secretive corners. Our explorations will include field excursions, historical research, and the examination of local folklore and legend. We aim to document and preserve any discoveries to benefit those who come after us.

Education and enlightenment are at the heart of our fellowship. We will build from a foundation of the study of esoteric traditions, philosophy, and the occult sciences. Regular assemblies will be organized to facilitate knowledge sharing and intellectual growth.

We will seek collaborations with the scholars, historians, and experts of Thornhaven to enrich our understanding and broaden our perspectives. Could there be a deep, spiritual connection to Thornhaven and its mysteries that is critical to our fellowship? We will engage in practices such as meditation, ritual, and studying the mystical texts of Thornhaven to foster greater spiritual awareness, assuming they exist.

By cultivating an environment of introspection and inner discovery, we aim to achieve personal and collective growth. Our fellowship will continuously reflect on our evolving circumstances and the broader implications for Thornhaven. We will strive to integrate our findings and insights into the broader kingdom of Thornhaven, promoting a sense of unity and shared purpose.

Outreach programs will be developed to educate and engage the public, fostering a greater appreciation for the city’s mysteries and heritage.
