Mystery around Keepers of the Eternal Shadow
Beginning on the fourth month of the same year, peculiar events surrounded the long-neglected Keepers of the Eternal Shadow. The story seemed to unfold after the Darkmare Vraadurger was attacked by a member of the Entranced, and shortly afterwards went into a rage. After some patience, several dreamers, including Silverwake, spoke to the Mare, and determined that this attack broke a mysterious treaty between the Mares and the Entranced. The tale became more complex when Tzayak declared himself a ruler of the Keepers of the Eternal Shadow on the sixth day of that month, and five other Darkmares appeared from the house to the crowd of dreamers waiting outside: Wrotzkils, Xegoth, Atraxis, Gnurndakkisz, and Erishkigal. These mares laid a slaughter to anyone who challenged them. Additionally, Tzayak appeared to have a distinctive rivalry with Osric, of the Union of the Covenant.
That day three of the Darkmares attacked the Union at their façade: Ereshkigal, Vraandurger, and Tzayak. The Union declared ownership of all of Umbric Plains and the Keepers of the Eternal Shadow, provoking further conflict with the Darkmares. Finally, after many long battles the Union agreed to sign a treaty offered by Ceyllynn and a group speaking on behalf of the house, ceding Union claims on Keepers lands in return for a promise that a Dark Mare will never Rule the Keepers of the Eternal Shadow.
Meanwhile, Kruugaar was spotted in combat with Tzayak and Vraadurger at the Keepers of the Eternal Shadow façade, spawning rumours of a Darkmare civil war. It was believed that Kruugaar challenged the others for leadership of the Council of Darkmares, an enigmatically organization that apparently held twelve seats, six of which had unknown ownership.
In the tenth month of that year the Dream City was again shaken under rumors of a Keepers influence when the dark Elder Asmodan appeared and sparked great discord.
