Reforging the Dreamer's Blight
Hidden shards of the four Blades of the Elements: the Serpent's Venom, the Destroyer, the Protector, and the Dreamer's Blight began appearing after the Influx. The shards were stored in safety, often in the vaults of the houses where they could not be stolen or misused. In autumn of the Year of the Rebuilding, the Guardians of Soul attempted the first reforging of one of the blades: The Serpent's Venom. However, without the final piece the blade was incomplete; it was disassembled and returned to the Order of the Sable Moon.
In the summer of the Year of Revelations, Kard and Erasmus held three of the Dreamseer shards, and in cooperation with Joshua Mandrake, ruler of House Calenture, were able to arrange the reforging of the Dreamer's Blight. A crowd of more than a hundred dreamers gathered in the Ceremonial Hall of Threshold Caves to witness the ceremony, and at it's completion Kard beheld a glowing blue rapier with the power to curse its targets: the Dreamer's Blight, first of the Blades of the Elements to be returned to the Dream City.
