Entry 56 - Writings in the Sand

Marshal,

Things within the City have grown tense as of late. The Lyrans and the Idoalcesians anxiously prepare in anticipation for the Vanguard's arrival. The Sorceress paid us a visit and warned us that Zaxun grows closer with every passing second. We have made little progress on the strongholds. They are not ready to face the looming threat in the horizon. They quarrel over trinkets and beliefs while failing to realize they may be the key to our salvation.

We may need Portunes' services along with offering some guidance to the factions. The Kurenaiian may assist us in this endeavor. I'll see if my old friend, Lynx, can assist us as well. The Furyan woman may get on board as well for she loves a good challenge. I know we made an agreement to not get involved with the factions and their political complications but should Zaxun succeed, it may mean an end to us all.

There is another potential threat brewing within our walls but that is a matter we must discuss in private. Bring your heaviest cane, old man. You may need it...
