Conclave of Elders Destroyed

Rumor has it that on the eve of the mysterious absense of the Conclave members from their own meeting, Zarinth and Thunberg were found in argument. Finally, Zarinth approached his apprentice, Thunberg, and granted the self-proclaimed "non-lyran” a task for an elusive Dreamsmith mark. Sources say that as part of this task, Thunberg will be assembling dreamers to help find a new Dreamsmith oath and will stand to take the oath himself. A codex was found on the scene bearing this inscription: "Those that received forge in the recent past took no oath as to how they would use it. Many learned without really understanding the power that they held. You have done much research and you are the most fitting to try this endeavor. I will grant you the Dreamsmith mark if you make a vow to me this day: Gather those about you that are truly understanding of what it means to be a Dreamsmith. Help me create a vow that binds them to those principles we both hold dear, then grant the mark so we may create true Dreamsmiths."

Last Thursday a few battered members of the former Conclave of the Elders returned to the City. These members call themselves "The Survivors." Reshdyn, Wyrmgrim, Otagwe, Thunberg, and Rhanna all appeared to be burdened as they gathered together with dreamers to consult on teaching matters. Zarinth, who seemed peculiarly unaffected, declared that: "Those that have survived shall be stronger for the sacrifice they have made." The only explanation given for the state of the five Elders was offered by Zarinth: "Those that stand before you this day have battled those that would rip the dream apart."
Zarinth then granted all five the art of Grant Sphere, and new dual halos brightly crowned their brows. Witnesses speculate that Zarinth may have played some role in the wounds suffered by the former Conclave members, but this remains a mystery. Reportedly, the old Conclave of the Elders has been shattered, and replaced with this group that calls itself "The Survivors." Novograd, ruler of Protectors of the Radiance, was later granted sixth sphere, the first dreamer to gain this sphere entirely through the support of his peers.
