Entry 57 - Code of Honor

Council,

As I conjure the words to place onto parchment, I feel most compelled to address the serious nature of the ongoing war between the dream cities. As far as I can tell, it's a culmination of a civil war from old ideologies clashing with a new generation of dreamers from separate cultures although another more clandestine war between two cities rages on in unison.

A powerful Lyran general leads a march of zealous followers towards Underlight. He has vowed to exterminate the population behind some vague charges. A powerful sorceress has cloaked the city underneath a spell of invisibility to buy the population further time to prepare. Another commander marches towards Underlight to intervene against his rival. There is rumor of sirens providing assistance with the spell by the sorceress' hand. They are under heavy guard by maiden warriors. More dynamics are at play but those are beyond the scope of this parchment.

The warriors of the honorable House of Calenture have shown great valor and courage in the face of certain perilous finality. I sense the grace and blessings of our Lady Calena within the halls of their stronghold and the honorable emblem of the Calenturian triune.

It is the sworn oath of honor to defend our brothers and sisters of the Calenturian banner. They may not be from Kurenai, but they are of Kurenai, my wise Council. I hope to have your blessings as I affirm my oath to stand side by side with our brethren.

For Kurenai, I stand. For Kurenai, I would fall if need be. Honor above all. Courage until the end. Loyalty beyond death.
