The Echten Knights are a group devoted to the destruction of Bashir. Their enemies included the Cult of Bashir, and the Emancipators of Men. Little is truly known about them.
They are/were dreamers who were transformed into Darkmares to near-mindlessly serve The Darkness. They function a bit better than Darkmares in terms of intelligence, but just barely. A legend states they are made by corrupting a soul in the moment of death.
