The influx was a relatively short but very busy time in the Dream City. Many new dreamers poured into the city walls with relative ease, requiring guidance and knowledge of the mysteries and the problems of the dream. Dream resources seemed short in supply, and the three open houses, the Order of the Sable Moon, House Calenture, and the Dreamers of Light, could not provide for the hundreds of enthusiastic dreamers who now wanted to help rebuild the Dream City. In the Dream City dreamers often referred to this time as the "Great Awakening," not to be confused with the original Great Awakening of the Dream State. To post-Great Loss dreamers this may always be remembered as the "Great Awakening," as the first awakening is not in their memories; but the Elders who have returned have termed this period "The Influx" to avoid confusion. | The influx was a relatively short but very busy time in the Dream City.
