The city's rise began with the malfunction of an ancient time portal. The portal was supposed to offer glimpses of the past and future, but instead, it became a beacon for the inhabitants of an old city, some of their talisman, some of their traditions, some things a mirror image of familiar things. No one yet is searching for those reasons. Only seeking answers with questions that still remain a mystery.

Before the people began appearing in the City of Thornhaven, the remaining inhabitants fought to find the reason for the time portals disrupt only to be left without answers. Our dreamers lost to us, but we continue to search for them. I hope there is sensitivity and realization that Thornhaven has suffered too.

As days turned into weeks and weeks into months, the dreamers with the deepest aspirations began to voice their discontent. Some were frustrated by the city’s policies. Even though we've paved an easy road, so that they may adjust more easily. Thornhaven has its own set of milestones and traditions, and they were quite different from the ones they had previously cherished.

Judgements befall the City of Thornhaven. The mockery of elders they never knew, discomfort of the environment, grievances of the city, and even of gifts given. Dreamer's continuously question what has happened. We see distaste in their eyes with answers that are given. Why would we know more than they? In their city is where the destruction and tampering began. We shall seek the truth together, through works together.

Despite their grievances, no one seemed to be making a serious effort to return to their old city or to figure out how to fix the malfunctioning time portal. It was as if the portal’s breakdown had inadvertently severed their connection to their past lives, leaving them trapped in a state of limbo.

Some are adjusting nicely, but some of them bitter and angry at every turn. I study the differences between each of them and they're all so different. They think differently. While some make assumptions of our city and spread them, others take the time to learn of it.

Some of the newcomers amaze me in ways I could never imagine. Their approach to the city and its wonders. How they've adapted so easily while I continue to struggle. They've taught us a lot in a short amount of time. How the coming together of dreamers forming bonds to path the way.

As we all lost family, our hope.........A new beginning emerged when they arrived. We've done everything in our power to welcome them, to give them safe haven through the fellowships without a hassle. To give them homes for their following and a future here.

Among these newcomers were many who had once held positions in their former city. The Forge Talisman and Master Teacher statuses were the highest honors in their previous home, symbols of profound skill and wisdom. Some mock that we claim them as milestones when they should be a status symbol of something great. They're milestones for a reason, they've reached greatness through the hard work they've earned over the years. Maybe some will come to realize this.

I see a bright future in Thornhaven. And even though we struggle with the what if's. We will continue to scour the city for answers through the time portal. The King continues traveling city to city in hopes of bringing our people home. In this place we find solace though, because the dreamers who came gave us a newfound hope and a sense of family.

I hope chains are broken and bonds are formed in the months and years ahead. We have a long road in Thornhaven, keeping the adversaries away, but I think we will be okay.........Taking one day at a time.
